Cluster's mission
The National Technological Cluster “Made in Italy” is an officially incorporated association aiming to encourage and promote an ecosystem based on technology transfer and innovation, able to bring about a sustainable, integrated, and inclusive economic growth for the companies working in the field of Made in Italy.
In particular, the Cluster MinIT wants to support:
- the development and promotion of scientific and entrepreneurial excellence operating in the existing product sectors throughout the country;
- synergies flowing from industry sectors, research entities and Public Administration;
- transferring of the so-called “best practices” and technologies;
- the inclusion of top-notch technical and research staff and their specialized training courses;
- strengthening local and international collaboration and cooperation networks.
The Cluster encompasses leading people committed to research, technology transfer, and business and market development such as Universities, research organizations, associations of companies, enterprises, and institutions.
Sectors
The relevant sectors and product fields of Cluster MinIT are linked to a distinguishing dress of the product manufactured in Italy. They are characterized by the implementation of innovative approaches and technologies, design-related activities and creativity, mainly including the fashion system (textile and clothing, leather and shoes, the tanning industry, eyewear), wood-furnishing-home-decoration, nautical and the jewelry industry.

The national system of technology clusters
The National Technology Clusters were created on the initiative of the Ministry of Education, Universities and Research, as aggregations of research and innovation promoting the creation of a technology research system for the productive system.
The Clusters aggregate competences, needs and potential in technology specialization sectors and guarantee study and coordination activities of the productive system, combining innovation, research and internationalization.
